Another great, substantial pre-work out meal is an easy-to-make bagel and cream cheese. If you are on the go a lot, a bagel and cheese can be an excellent way to get some energy rich, carbohydrate filled sustenance. This is another meal you can make the night before or you can pick up some fresh bagels. Sometimes you can find bagels with a little bit more flavor, like blueberry and cinnamon raisin.

Lastly, the key in finding the best foods before you exercise is discovering dishes that don’t have too much sugar or caffeine. You want to find the right balance of protein and carbohydrates so that you can have the most energy, not burnout and have a successful work out.
